Maxx Online Cycle Planner
‘Maxx Online Cycle Planner’
‘Maxx Online Cycle Planner’are a great way to plan your cycle route on-line using the latest information. You can locate useful facilities such as cycle shops and link your journey to public transport services. ‘Maxx Online Cycle Planner’ are updated using feedback from Auckland cyclists, local councils and the Ministry of Transport.
The ‘Maxx Online Cycle Planner’ project is a trial that is still in a development stage. This project will contribute to a more comprehensive journey planner that ARTA is developing that will incorporate the active modes and public transport.
Cyclist Resource Maps
Cyclist Resource Maps display: MAXX transport facilities, cycle parking, cycle lockers, cycle rentals, cycle shops, cycle-friendly cafes, cyclist learning locations, and proposed Council projects that will add cycling infrastructure.
Existing cycling infrastructure such as cycle lanes, shared paths, etc, and recommended cycle routes can presently be found on the paper Cycle Maps which you can download from the MAXX website Cycling page. These facilities will be added to the ‘Maxx Online Cycle Planner’ later this year.
Also displayed are validated inputs from cyclists themselves - giving general advice and warnings to other cyclists planning a route.

Cycle Crash Maps
Cycle Crash Maps identify the 200 most recent cycle vs motor vehicle crashes reported to the Police and entered into the Ministry of Transport's Crash Analysis System (CAS). If you regularly cycle a route, check out the crashes that have occurred and avoid hazardous areas. If you're unfortunate enough to have had a crash with a motor vehicle, be sure to report it to the Police so it can be added to the database and others can learn about high risk places.
