Bus Stop Txt Service

You can get up-to-date information of how long you have to wait until a bus is due to arrive at the stop via text to your mobile. This is done via a GPS system which accurately tells you how many minutes until the next bus comes. Each text response received costs 20 cents (inc GST) charged to your mobile phone account.

Your 4-digit bus stop number can usually be found displayed on bus stop poles or timetable information posters. If you do not know your bus stop number or cannot find one at your bus stop, you can find it online by clicking on the 'Find My Stop' button on the 'Bus Arrivals' feature on the homepage

The bus arrival information in the text message will appear as 'Real Time' information shown in minutes. If Real Time is not available for that service, the information will appear as Scheduled Time shown in a 24 hour clock format. The message may come in the format of shortened words/txt format.

  • 'Real Time' is shown as number of minutes before bus arrival e.g. 6 Mins
  • 'Scheduled Time' is shown as the next timetabled bus using the 24 hour clock e.g. 13.01

Finding out when all buses that pass your stop are due to arrive

Simply type your bus stop number into your phone and text to 3666.

So if your bus stop number is 5355 you would txt 5355 to 3666

You will receive a text message with times for all the buses due to pass through this stop, the message may come in the format of shortened words/ text format. e.g

12:38p-092 Hbvil, 1:29p-066 Hnsvl, 1:34p-093 Whnp ArBs, 3:38p-092 Hbvil, 3:18p-095 Whnp ArBs, 3:58p-092 Hldls, 5:11p-093 Whnp ArBs

So the above text response translates as:

At 12:38pm, Route 092 to Hobsonville will arrive at this stop, at 1:29pm Route 066 to Helensville will arrive at this stop and at 1:34pm route 093 to Whenuapai Air base will arive at this stop … and so on.
