Finding out when your train is due to depart

Simply text ROUTE followed by your train line eg. ROUTE sth to 3666. You'll receive train departure times and locations. Each text response recieved costs $NZ.20 cents charged to your mobile phone account.

sth - South via Newmarket and Ellerslie
se - South via Panmure, Glen Innes and Orakei
west - West

Finding out when your train is delayed

Free* information is available about significant train delays on your mobile phone.

Simply select the time of day and the train line you would like to receive information for and note the relevant three-letter code specified in the table below.

*Receipt of train delay information is free. There is a cost however to join the service - each code costs $NZ.20 cents to join and $NZ.20 cents to quit.

To join

Text JOIN [code] to 5995, eg "JOIN SMO" to join morning off peak on the Southern Line.

Note: There needs to be a space between the word JOIN and the code
eg JOIN SMO

Follow this process for each service you want to join - you can join up to 5 different services. You will only receive text messages announcing significant delays for the line and times you select.

To quit

Text QUIT [code] to 5995, eg "QUIT SMO" to quit the morning off-peak on the Southern Line.

Note: There needs to be a space between the word QUIT and the code eg QUIT SMO.

To quit from all codes simply text QUIT to 5995. You will no longer receive any messages.

• Customers travelling to and from stations between Westfield and Papakura need to join both the Southern and Eastern Line codes.
• Messages are only sent for train delays of 10 minutes or longer.
• Time ranges refer to the departure time of the service from its origin.
• Receipt of text messages is free and is dependent on telecommunications network availability.

This text messaging service is available on all mobile networks (021, 025, 027 and 029)

TXT messaging codes for train information

Simply select the time of day and the train line you would like information for and txt JOIN (code).

(eg Txt "JOIN SMP" to receive information for the Morning Commuter Peak on the Southern Line) and send to 5995.
