Accessible Travel

The LINK services are the easiest way to get around Auckland and are simple to use. Just look for the red, green or amber buses.

There is no need for a timetable as each service operates on such a frequent basis. Simply head to the appropriate bus stop and wait for the right coloured bus.

LINK services are brought to you by Auckland Transport and NZ Bus.

City LINK fare change

From Sunday 1 January 2012, the City LINK will continue to be FREE for all HOP card holders.

For non-HOP card holders the new fare will be 50c for adults, 30c for children (5 to 15 years inclusive). Under 5 year olds continue to travel free.

Please try to give the correct change to the driver.

When using a HOP card, tag on by holding your card steady and flat to the reader, then wait for the confirmation beep and green light.

Remember to tag off as you exit.

Visit myhop.co.nz for more information about HOP and a list of retailers.

  • Refunds will not be available on card purchase or top-up.
  • Visit MYHOP.CO.NZ to view HOP retailers and to find out when different operators will start to accept HOP on board.
