- Travel is free for children under 5 years ( 0 - 4 yrs inclusive) of age accompanied by a fare paying passenger.
- Children attending primary and intermediate school are eligible for a child discount
All secondary students attending high school / college within the Auckland region must hold and present their MAXX Student ID Card to the operator to ensure they receive the child discount on public transport.
Secondary students that cannot provide proof of school attendance may be required to pay an adult single cash fare for their travel. - Tertiary fares are available to full-time tertiary students enrolled and attending an accredited, approved full time tertiary course at a registered institute or private training establishment within the Auckland region.
- A 10% discount on single ride fares applies when payment is made using money stored on a Go-Rider bus card (stored value). A maximum of $100 can be loaded on to a card.
- Ten trips, Stored Value, Monthly passes are programmed on to Go-Rider smart cards. Cards are only available from ticket agents and cost $10.00. Once purchased, Cards can be loaded and topped up on the bus or at ticket agents. Tertiary fares are available from selected ticket agents.

Adult monthly passes can be bought at the Downtown Ferry Terminal, or at the ticket office on Waiheke Island.
If you require the child, you can only purchase it on Waiheke Island.
