- Senior citizens are entitled to free travel with a valid SuperGold Card or Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) approved senior citizen ID card. Available after 9.00am weekdays and anytime on weekends and public holidays. For travel prior to 9.00am on weekdays adult fares apply.
- Child fares are available from the age of five years. Children aged from 5 to 15 years inclusive (until 16th birthday) can travel on the child fare. Student ID cards are not required for primary and intermediate school children.
Primary and intermediate students may request a MAXX Student ID Card through MAXX either via email or on (09) 366 6400.
For secondary school students, approved ID cards must be shown to driver when boarding the vehicle - Pre-schoolers travel for free.
- Tertiary fares are available to full-time students only upon presentation of a valid student ID card and MAXX Student ID Sticker.
- The maximum fare charged is 8 stages for any journey.
- A 10% discount on single ride fares applies when payment is made using money stored on a Go-Rider bus card (stored value). A maximum of $100 can be loaded on to a card.
- Multi-journey fares, Stored Value, Monthly and Tertiary passes are programmed on to Go-Rider smart cards. Cards are only available from ticket agents and cost $10.00. Once purchased, Cards can be loaded and topped up on the bus or at ticket agents. Tertiary fares can only be obtained from selected ticket agents.

- Tertiary passes must be loaded and topped up at selected tertiary ticket agents. Fastpass smart cards can also be purchased at selected tertiary ticket agents.
- A 5% discount on a single ride fare applies when payment is made using stored value.

Special Conditions:
- Senior citizens are entitled to free travel with a valid SuperGold Card or Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) approved senior citizen ID card. Available after 9.00am weekdays and anytime on weekends and public holidays. For travel prior to 9.00am on weekdays adult fares apply.
- Child fares are available from the age of five years. Children aged from 5 to 15 years inclusive (until 16th birthday) can travel on the child fare. Student ID cards are not required for primary and intermediate school children.
Primary and intermediate students may request a MAXX Student ID Card through MAXX either via email or on (09) 366 6400.
For secondary school students, approved ID cards must be shown to driver when boarding the vehicle. - Pre-schoolers travel for free.
Adult monthly passes can be bought at the Downtown Ferry Terminal, or at the ticket office on Waiheke Island.
If you require the child or tertiary pass, you can only purchase it on Waiheke Island.
